Can you identify this plug?94 3.0 4x4

I noticed a 2 prong gray plug hanging on the passenger side just below the transmission. One wire is Blue with red stripe and other is White with blue stripe. Anyone know what this plug is for? Thanks

its most likely a "what if" wire, from factory, incase you wanted to add something or convert something

There are at least 3 plugs that connect the automatic to the wiring harness. Several go over the top of the transmission with a two wire plug connector usually at the top of the transmission. From where the transmission harness connects with the computer wiring harness at the starter area, chase them out one at a time and you should find the culprit. So get busy. The no OD is a clear symptom of a disconnected wire.

That's the only thing I would worry about. Don't know if it's that though.
