In my 85 22RE when engine is hot and truck is not moving; when I increase RPM to around 1800 the engine will oscillate between 1800 RPM and 1000 RPM. No obvious vacuum leaks. Truck seems to run fine otherwise. Any ideas?

 

a mis adjusted tps can cause this, when the rpm drops does it cut out completely then cut back in?
