Power Steering leak

95 4runner with a 3VZ-E. After cleanup, traced leak back to the power steering vane pump and it looks like the source is the rear housing at the snap ring and the underside of the vane pump when looking up frop under the passenger front wheel. All pressure and return lines look fine. Can leak be the o-ring between oil reservoir and the pump body? or internal to the pump? Does this call for simply replacing the pump? Any ideas??? Thanks.

Yes, very common for the oring between the reservoir and the pump to go bad. There are three screws that hold that part on. AdvanceAutoParts have orings in stock, it's a cheap and easy fix. If worse comes to worse, you can buy a rebuilt kit for the entire pump and rebuilt the whole thing. I would try the single oring fix first though. Also, make sure the VSV isn't leaking up through the vacuum lines to the intake.
