My blower motor started cutting in and out when on speed 3. It would drop like it was on 1 then come back. Now it only stays like its 1. I know most blower motors have double windings and that how they make the different speeds. Does anyone know if this is a motor problem or a switch problem.

Sounds like you need a blower resistor. I'd pulled it out of the a/c box and see if it is burned up.

 

if your resistor is good, you might have to replace the speed switch. because of the way they are designed, they get hot and melt inside leaving you with only one speed. i have to replace mine, not an easy task in tight quarters.
