Newbie question.. I have an few leaks that I'm trying to track down. *pictures*

Hey Guy/Gals.. i have a few leaks I'm trying to track down.. it appears that one is coming from a gold looking object on the drivers side motor near the oil filter.. and the other is coming from what looks to be the power steering pump or some place near it.. if someone could help me out that would be great! if there are some other common places to look please let me know!

Thanks
Billy

check the hoses, check all connections, fasteners, etc. maybe your ps pump or oil pump gasket ruptured. or hell, check your oil filter, are you sure you have it tight enough?

That 'gold looking object' is the oil cooler, a very well known spot for leaks on the 3.0. It has a large O-ring behind it that gets hard and tends to leak. It's very cheap to replace the O-ring, but a bit of a pita to get off and on due to the lack of room. There is a diagram in this thread

Get the o-rings at the dealership. For your power steering pump, it typically leaks at the very back of it, or at the o-ring that seals the reservoir to the pump. you can get a rebuild kit that has everything you need to replace all the o-rings and seals in the power steering pump to make it "good as new".

Get the O-rinng and seals at a dealer, I think mine was less than $20 for them all, though that was a few years ago. As for removing it I think I went through the driver side wheel well. There is only one large bolt in the middle, which is actually hollow and is used to feed oil into the cooler. Mine was very tight. There are also 2 coolant hoses on the cooler, they can be a bit of a pain to remove due to the limited room. You will spill a bit of coolant, but if you clamp the hoses it's not too bad.
If you'e due for coolant replacemnet it's a good time to drain the system and add new antifreeze.
