i have a 98 tacoma v6 5speed 4x4 and did the marlin crawler shifter seat install and i removed the shifter and put everything back together and now i cant get the shaft around the shifter to spin and lock everything in place. i think the spring has too much tension

 

Did you take out the old seat? Make sure you do. A set of thin-nosed plyers will be helpful when putting that ring back in.

 

yeah i took out the old rubber seat and put in the new urethane one and i lined the shifter up and put it in and now the ring around it will go down and then wont spin so it will lock down idk wat to do now
