How much should I tighten the steering stabilizer

Hey guys, I have a 91 toyota 4runner 4wd. I was woring on it the other day and while I was underneath it I noticed that the Old man emo steering stabilizer mount(the one with the hole in and bolt that goes through towards the drivers side) might be just a lil loose. I mean I can wobble it just a little bit. Is this normal or should I crank it down really tight? I noticed on the highway I'm getting a bit of shimmy. But I also just recently rebuilt my idler arm and rotated my tires, and the one on the front drivers side has significantly more tread then passenger side, so maybe its one of those things. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Old Man Emo huh?

sorry, I couldn't resist.

Are you talking about the place where it mounts to the frame? I think as long as the bolt holding it in is tight, you're fine, but if it makes you feel better, tighten away.

Hahahaha, I didnt realize that typo. No, not the part that mounts to the frame, its the part that has the circular end with the rubber busshing in it, I can wiggle it around a little bit, is this normal or are you suppose to tap it in with a hammer or something?
