Mobile One High Mileage Synthetic Motor Oil

I'm just wondering what everybody's thoughts are on the oil. I'm about to turn 104k on my 2000 Tacoma with the 3.4 and was thinking of switching to that. I've run Mobile 1 Clean 5000 since 93,380 when I bought it and have changed it every 3-5k. The guy before me changed it every 5k with whatever the bulk oil the dealership or quicklube place had on hand. I've heard it's bad to switch to full synthetic at high mileage but what about "high mileage full synthetic"? Thanks in adavance!

I switched both my 3rd gens over at 95k and have had zero issues and never expected any.

synthetic oil should be fine, i changed mine over at 125k.

as for the high mileage, I would not worry about it. For one thing 100k on a toyota is not high at all. We don't say high milage until at least 200k. I think i would prefer the regular M1. the high-milage usually has lot of cleaners but those can sometimes hurt more than they help.

Go for it, I switched at 135k for one and at 102k for the other and NO problems.

Yeah what's with all the types of Mobil 1 now, there is like 3 or 4 different ones now. I'm thinking about switching to Amsoil 0W30.

Ive been using Amsoil for awhile now and im about to use up the remaining Series 2000. Since i change my oil every six months its a huge waste. Next summer im going to give Maxlife full synthetic a try.
