ipod monster icarplay fm transmitter

i bought one of these nifty little gagets and have been very pleased with it except for one small complaint - when i use it in my pickup i get a lot more static than in any other vehicle that i've used it in. i've noticed when i have my wipers on, when the wiper is actually in motion, the static is gone, but when it sits (in intermittent mode) the static returns. i haven't noticed this at all in any other vehicle aside from my pickup. it's not even a big deal really, but i'm curious as to what could be causing this? thanks.

go to a car stereo shop and get a cheap noise filter and wire in to your cigarette lighter plug.
i have an icarplay and use it in my car, works great.

in the truck i have some 6x9's in the doors. a super cheap 100 watt amp someone gave me and the ipod hooked direct to the line in on the amp. the volume is controlled by the ipod, works ok. at least theres music in the truck that way...

also possibly worth mentioning, the static gets better and worse if i move the transmitter around in the truck. seems that the higher i move it, the less static there is. i'll look into that noise filter for sure.
