Greenwater, WA. Fall Colors Run October 13th 2007
Run being reorganized.
We are still debating on where to go up there, but may hit a few places depending on time.
We could do the 72 to 70 scenic route, then drive further up 70, then hang a left up the road that crosses a river, or we could go to lonesome Lake I think it is called.
We still have awhile to decide.
The colors of the foliage up there should be jumping out at you, so remember to bring your digital camera.
Hopefully we will have clear weather and sunny.
Ice cream bars taste best when it is nice out
Date:
Saturday the 13th of October.
Meet:
Enumclaw Safeway parking lot before 9 am, we would like to push off by then.
CB channel:
Channel four for 4x4.

Hard to say what we will see.
Here is a run you were on when we hit snow up there on 72.

That creeps me out up there on that road if there is snow.
Just to the left of the rigs is a sheer drop off.

Heck, all of 72 going up there is a sheer drop off to the left.
I remember when Jim and Trudie's '89 started to slide towards the cliff up there after he stopped and parked.

NOt sure what he had, but they were not traction tires.
I was running Les Schwab Wild Country TXRs that were siped, they are almost unstoppable in the snow.
While others up there were spinning, I was not spinning at all.

No I do not.
Looks like we will be splitting into different groups anyways since some may run the Naches.
There are a lot of possibilities up there, and groups often split up after a quick break and lunch up there.

Latest weather report from KIRO.
Rain Friday will pat the dust down, and some sun on Saturday.
I hope it holds that way.
Rain Friday will pat the dust down, and some sun on Saturday.
I hope it holds that way.
Weather Summary: Stormy conditions on the coast today as a deep, offshore low pushes north to Canada. The effects of this will spread inland to the Puget Sound region later in the day adding the threat of rain and breezy weather this afternoon and tonight. Showers in the wake of the associated cold front will continue tomorrow with a bit of a break Thursday when most of the wet weather will be north of the city and in the mountains. Friday could see a few showers to start, then sunbreaks continuing through Saturday with a slight chance of rain returning Sunday.

Hey Corey-
Looks like there might a good size group going...... The guys that are with me are going to do the initial Green Water Run that you got planned, then we're going to go on the Naches after, want to run some of it before it closes down next month. Well, we'll see when we get to Safeway on how many rigs show up and who wants to do what? Not much people from YotaTech forum participating this time like before, what happen to everyone? I guess I haven't done a run with you guys in awhile huh?

There are a few from here coming, they just have not RSVP'd.
This may be my last trip too until a winter snow run maybe around Christmas time or in January.
Maybe before Christmas, I do not know yet.
