I would try to get an 05, they have a better transmission, plus they have VVTI while I don't think the 04's do.

I got my 05 Tundra DC for 24k, it was a stressed sale though. It had 30k miles on it. Yours has a bit more mileage although it is a limited with the heated seats and all that. I wouldn't add much for the "add on" backup camera, you can buy those anywhere for a few hundred. Personally I would keep looking (I looked for 6-8 months before I found my truck)

I should also add that if it's a deal for you, and it's good for the area, go for it! What matters is that you're happy with your decision. I'm sure there will always be a truck cheaper with different options, but what matters is you got the truck you wanted with the option you wanted, for a price you were comfortable with!

Yeah, I had an 05 as you can see in my avitar when they first came out, but had to get rid of it to buy a house. Now I casually looking for the same truck again. Great advice on the tranny/vvti info., those are the types of technical suggestions i am looking for. Thanks for all of the advice.

PS....Looks like you have the truck i would want! haha

Yea I saw you looked at my thread on TS (Heheh, it lets me know when there is a linkback and from where) After all that I added to my truck, it's practically the same as a limited except for leather and color keyed bumpers (someday to be fixed ) On TS in my signature you can see my website I put together, it's not finished yet, but has a lot of pictures of what I did.

Compared to your previous 05, the gauges are a little different, and you may not have side curtain airbags. Also a new feature was the tire pressure system in 05. LINK

I drove by Miller Toyota in Manssas, VA. They had 2 1st generation Tundra DC's on the lot (I believe 05 or 06) One of them was around 26k so you could try to negotiate it down a bit. They were both blue SR5's. I would definitely search on autotrader, thats where I found my truck.
