Question 1986 Toyota 4 runner with 4.10's

Is a 1987 toyota 4 runner and a 22re that has a inchworm dual case, and 4.10s gear under powered? Its also locked in the rear. I need to get good freeway speeds, and will it do it?

all comes down to what size tires you are running and the gear set used.

My magic tire size guessing 8 ball says....

If you are running dual cases and are locked, I assume you're over 33s. 33 inch tires is about the limit for decent on road manners with 4.10s imo.

I agree... the smartest thing to do would be a rear end swap if you go 35's. The little 4 cylinders can only handle so much on there own... tough little things.
