3vze Head gasket recommendations?

My mechanic is going back together with my truck and the machine shop that checked the heads provided him with some head gaskets that were made my TRW. The only engine work I have ever done was on Chevy's and Fel-Pro was the brand to use on that application, but what about a 3vze in a 94 4x4 Xtra-cab that is driven roughly 90 miles a day.

Forgive my ignorance on this, but aren't the OEM gaskets the problem? The ones they are using look a whole lot better built than what was pulled of. Please understand, I am not arguing, I'm just uninformed.

The original OEM way back when were a problem, that's why they did the GIANT recall for them. They are supposed to be good now. Pretty expensive @ $68 each, too.
