Well I recently purchased a 89 Toyota 22re 4wd, and it has plenty of rust on it. Currently I can't pass DE emission because of the pressure test. They put a pressurized hose in the gas tank and find leaks somewhere in feul system. I was told it was leaking at the base of the Feul tank filler and would cost $480 to fix. Does anyone know of a place I can get this cheap, also does anyone know were I can get a new cheap gas tank? The lowest I could find was about $220, toyota wanted $455. I don't have a lot of money and this is the first vehicle I have ever worked on, so I am getting experiance with working with a lot of rust. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an xtra gas tank that came from a 86 toyota 22re xtra cab, but shipping it would cost about what you would pay for a new one!!!
