I got a 1st Gen!! woo hoo

I am actually pretty excited about it - never really liked them too much until I started reading all the raves about them on here, so I splurged and bought this ol girl for $350+100 for the wrecker ride.

So, it was posted on Craigslist for 500obo and I offered him 400 sight unseen, and he said yes, so Katie met up with him today to exchange money and title. He told her he wanted to split the tow truck bill with her, so he took 50 and gave it back to her! wooo hooo

Anyways,
Its an 85 4x4 SFA, 22re, 5 speed, it used to be purple but it was primered black. I have been wanting to test the HVLP gun out on a truck, so wish us luck .. It has a perfectly straight body, no dents or holes - the window tracks need some attentiion and the interior is a mess... see pictures

It was running when he parked it in the garage two years ago - he took the header off of it and the battery out of it. SO, in theory, I may be able to change fluids out and toss a battery and a header on there and see how she does.

no plans yet - I had thought it was going to be parts, but I don't think that would be right considering its condition

so far, I was thinking about doing one of ENGNBLDR's full rebuild kits with a hot cam and throw a header on it and see where that gets me - It looks like the suspension might need some attention at some point...

Nice 85. sfa 4runners seem to be popping up out of nowhere in eastern va.

btw.. I see you are parting out a 90 runner. What do you want for the steering box? PM me if you would. Thanks.

another yota! heheh. You should get her running, dump a few hundred into her and sell her whole for profit
