lift blocks are definitely a cheap way to get lift. what are you going to do up front? lift blocks will just magnify your axle wrap and ive heard of some breaking. can you not afford to do longer shackles or higher lift springs?

You will get cheap lift.
You will magnify axle wrap. With 3in, it will be considerable.
These have broken, and I've seen them be spit out from under a truck before. It wasn't pretty.
If you don't wheel much, and are just looking for an onroad lift, than you should be fine. Offroad, I'd suggest something else.

I agree. I've done bumpy-ass trails with rocks embedded in the path. It was worse than just constant vibrations... my tires got air a couple of times just by going a little too fast. If I had blocks... those things woulda been screwed.
Putting on longer shackles has to be even easier than blocks I would imagine. Find a 1/4" steel bar and cut/drill to fit (or lift).

Shackle length must be double the lift you want.
If you want 3 inches, you need 6 inch longer shackles.
At that length you may experience dline issues, but its pretty hard to say. Good news is, the steel to do this won't cost you much, and its easy to do, so if you have problems, you can go back to stock, or just go to 2 inches. You will be fine with 2 inches.

I don't know if 3 inches is too much. I have 4 inch shackles plus 3 inch springs on my 4 runner, it barely brings it back to stock height. I have a perfect driveline angle.
Hardlines are fine. I would get an extented soft line for your rear brakes. They make nice stainless braided ones. Also, good idea to get a spacer for the LSPV. Front will depend on what you do up there.

LSPV = load sensing proportioning valve. All you need is a thin piece of steel, with two holes drilled in it. You just need to raise is up. Search around, as i'm not sure how far for whatever lift you end up with.
I suggest looking at www.4crawler.com
