4door 4runner 22RE 5spd- great shape, 4.88 gears, new 33"s, American Racing rims

SOLD!!!!!

I bought this 1990 SR5 4Runner in 2006 from the original owners who bought it off the Toyota lot 16 years ago, and garage kept every night - new timing chain, new HG, all freshened up. The paint was BEAUTIFUL, and its one of the few 90s I've seen without those horrible graphics. ICE cold AC, all manual everything, etc.

After purchasing it, I found some low mileage complete 4.88 axle assemblies from a newer auto, and swapped them in (instead of 4.10s). This is the perfect combination for the brand new 33x11.50 Kuhmo All-Terrains (with receipts and warranty from Tire Rack - literally 300 miles on them) on 16x8 Polished American Racing Atlas wheels. At the same time I put a set of 2" rear coil spacers on and replaced all the brake pads.

I swapped in a newer toyota black (smaller diameter) steering wheel, gave it a complete tune up and intake tract cleanout, new O2 sensor, tstat, U and CV joints and boots, valve adjustments, etc, basically any maintenance item I forsaw it needing in the future. Currently the truck has a little over 189k miles on it, and I see no reason it can't go another 189k!!

I love the truck and really dont want to sell it...it gets excellent gas mileage and gets TONS of looks, and [if I had time] would be killer on the trail. However, I just found out our first child is on the way, so I need to reduce the number of vehicles I own (7 at this point in time) Therefore I'm putting my prize posession up for sale. Asking price is NOW 5,250.00 obo. I can guarantee you will not find another 5spd 22RE Second Gen truck in this condition ANYWHERE. I'd like to see it gone fairly soon as I have a couple other vehilces to start concentrating on selling, etc. Please email me with any questions, I"m not on the board that much: Justins311 at hotmail.com

Currently the truck is located in Severn, Maryland (Just north of DC and south of Baltimore)

The only problems:

-small dimple in the front chrome bumper (neighbor nicked me backing up, can post pics)
-two scratches in the rear tailgate, and a missing "T" in the toyota emblem
-small worn patch in the drivers seat, rest of interior is great
-grease/bleach stain in hatch area (previous owner)

So other than the 2" spacers in the rear it has no lift on it?

Correct. The angle at which it was sitting in that parking lot where the pics were taken makes it appear that the front is taller - when in reality it sits almost perfectly flat. Here is a pic from the side with it sitting flat:

It is possible the front bars have more preload on them since inbetween when that pic was taken and the above pics were taken I swapped the front axle/gears in - honestly I'm not sure, but when I look at it every day in my driveway it looks flat

Not a problem. You don't find too many 1990 trucks still in this condition, so not much to compare it to price wise. I don't personally like the newer body styles (think the 2nd gen was the best looking by far) so I paid a little mroe to find one in this kind of shape.

Now in hindsight adding the gears + $$$ brand new wheels and tires put my investment slightly higher than what the market would bear - so I will also consider selling it with some stock wheels and tires and selling those seperately if somebody were interested. I think once fall hits I'll advertise locally and being 4WD should sell [hopefully] fairly quickly
