One year review July 24

Got the rig one year ago July the 24th 2006.
I have no regrets getting the rig, never will.

My thought on the FJ Cruiser?

Pros:
4.0 engine is the beef.
Plenty of power and torque, never weary of passing someone or merging onto the freeway if I need to.

Nice layout in the interior, seats are super comfortable, even during long drives.

Good off road package coupled with the A trac system up front, and the rear E locker in the rear.

Fording depth is 27.5" up front for the air intake.

Tons and tons of aftermarket items are available for the rig as vendors of old who only catered to the solid axle crowd now jump on the success of the FJ Cruisers off road capability.

Cons:
Paint, perhaps all paint now coming from Toyota is softer and scratches easier IMO than the paint of old such as my '91 4Runner and my '90 Xtracab before it.

Smudges on the windows from palm prints and face/nose impressions from curious gawkers wanting to see the inside.

Can not think of anymore negative items, and no, there are no blind spots for me.
You have learn how to adjust your mirrors and use them with this rig, easy to do.

There are many more items I could think of for pros, but the fact is I am 100% happy with the rig.

Also you get to meet a bunch of other owners who share your excitement of the outdoors.

And to add... my sceond windshield has taken many more hits without near as many cracks. There is a deffinate differance in the windshield that came on my rig in November and the one that was installed in February/April. Both should be identical factory windshield. My theory is there was a bad batch of them early on. Hopefully that is true, but we will never know.

As for me, 100% happy with this vehicle as well.
