cat burglar

Someone stole the cat from my 90' 4Runner. My wife was in the store and she heard the sales clerk say over the store speaker that something was stolen from underneath a white 4runner with so and so license plate. She called me and I'm thinking they stole the spare. I called my muffler guy and he said the other day the same thing happened to someone else. Obviously I searched this forum and see it is common. It's going to cost me $125 at the muffler shop. The only thing I was pissed at was my wife didn't have the alarm armed, though I don't know if it would have gone off. Luckily they just unbolted it. Just venting.

Seems the west coast, philly, chicago area, and NYC have this issue. I implore them to give mine a shot, mostly b/c they will go blind from all the mud dust that will fall on them. Well that and the nice lead pipe I beat them senseless with afterwards.

when you get a new one make sure to tack or have someone put the bolts in and put tacks on the thing so you have to grind a tiny bit to get it off, easy theft pertection.

I live in northern California and work at the local Toyota dealership. The other day an '05 Tundra came in to get work done. It was loud as hell. I asked the technician working on it why someone would take BOTH their cats off, and he answered that it was a trend lately to hack off people's cats and sell them! That's crazy! So it's going on all over the place. They can steal mine. That'll just give me an excuse to run a straight pipe!

Start a new anti-theft trend. THUDS FOR THUGS:First they see mud, then they see stars.

search on craigslist or post an ad up. They buy that stuff up like candy. The rhodium in them is ~$6000/ounce.
