7mgte swap

Hey guys I was just wondering is it true that the 7MGTE just bolts right in? transmission wise do I need a W-58 or a R-154? To re pin the wires to the ECU will that be hard to find connectors?

Everything you need to know can be found on supracharged.com in the forums. Just search.

The short answer for you is that a 7M (turbo OR n/A) bolts to a W56 using a 7MGE (n/a) bellhousing.

No matter what engine you start from you have to use the wiring diagram from the supra and your truck, and splice the two together. If you are good at wiring and reading wiring diagrams its not hard. There's only about 5-6 wires you really HAVE to splice in order for it to run, the rest are sensors etc for the gauges in your stock dash and other things that aren't required just to run the engine.

7m to a R150 tranny requires u use a custom bellhousing, or a R154 supra tranny with a divorced t-case can be used. 7mgte to W56 won't last very long due to the power, but it takes 7mge power quite well.

it's not the motor's bellhousing, it's the transmission's. just to clarify, it's the w58 N/A mk2 AND mk3 bellhousing that allows you to bolt the 7m to the w56 transmission.
