People start new threads like this so that people like us will take the time to reply to them, and it seems to be working. I took time out of my busy day to reply, I'm not sure why, but I did. Oh yeah, my O2 sensor works just fine too.

Recently I have been scratching my head on the same issue. SR5 water temp guage springs up to the same spot. I haven't gotten the time to troubleshoot it, and i want to get a fresh sender to substitute...
There seems to be conflicting info about the location of the sender for the guage on the mid-late 80s 22RE. My fsm indicates that its mounted under the intake, into the block near the rear of the engine. I read someone elses message saying its up on the top of the intake between #2 and #3. Whats up with that?

Not sure it even relates.......but I was told it's between #2 & #3 in the intake.
