'95 4x4 3.0 Intake Plenum Bolt/Lock Washer question...

Hey everyone,

Plenum, intake, timing belt & cam sprockets off. Just have the crossover, exhaust, valve covers then heads. WOOT!!

Noticed while removing the plenum that the 4 bolts each have a lock washer on them. Unfortunately, it appears these washers are pressed on because I can't get them over the threads to replace them.

Always been taught that lock washer is a one time use item. Should I consider new bolts/locks? How important are other bolts in same situation?

Again, thanks for the help and ideas.

Respectfully,

DJ

They're okay to reuse, as long as you tork 'em to spec. Lots of the bolts on imports have captured washers.

Yeah, I've retightened mine more times than I care to remember, about to do it again to redo my valve covers. Never had them come loose after torqued. I do recommend using a little bit of the anti-seize on 'em, keeps the threads from corroding or galling.
