84 4Runner Sliding Siding Windows

Im looking at buying an 84 4Runner, the sliding part of the side window on the driver side is missing, how hard is it to remove the complete window and replace it with another ?. when i go to pic n pull ive seen 4Runners out there with these windows removed, but ive never really looked at how they are removed.

I have never changed one personally, but I did have one replaced. I watched the guy do it and it seems to be the same as replacing a windshield. He cut the sealant around the outside of the window undid acouple of screws holding the frame in place and it popped out.

It may have been more difficult but he made it look easy.

I would think if you know how it comes apart it would be fairly easy to do.

There are no screws holding in the window. Just remove the inside trim around the window, take a knife and cut the butyl tape around the window and it will push out.
