Attn. Norther New Mexicans!

When are we wheeling?

As far as I know, the state is not on fire yet, so what is the scoop?

I will be headed south on the 14th for a race and then I could camp and or wheel if there are no church going folks for the morning.

What do you say? I am done for most anything as far as trails, or if that is tough, it would be cool to snag a beer and rap, so I can put names with faces.

I will check back here in a couple of days.

Peace,
Adrian

I was just informed that I already have plans for that weekend, looks like the 15th is gonna be undoable for me

I'll try and get something cooked up towards the end of June/first of July...

Ever heard of the Tombstone race in Fort Sumner?

A trip would be cool, just having a beer would be all right too if there is not a lot of interest.

I will be swinging down later in the summer too.

Where's Fort Sumner, and no, I've never heard of the race. Race what?

The mens division carries an 80 pound tombstone around a 25 meter course for 4 laps. Winner gets 1500 bucks.

Fort Sumner is south of Santa Rosa.

I may be coming to Santa Fe this weekend or the following depending on who is wheeling where. I will check back later.

Sunday I will be hitting Santa Fe for sure, not much time for wheeling as I have other errands to run.

I may end up back there later in the summer, although it is hard to just cruise down for trails when I am completely unfamiliar with them.

Fort Sumner is south of Santa Rosa on 84.

Tomorrow a 4' barrier, a 5' barrier and an 80 pounds tombstone is all that stands between me and $2,000!

I previously told Jim that I would like to come down there and see what NM has to offer at some point. Haven't done a whole heck of a lot in the past there, and certainly not any wheeling.

If you guys come up with any dates this summer, that would be cool. If there are some high mountain trails with awesome views, that would be great. I'll keep an eye out.

I am sure that between Loosehead, SteveO and I we can come up with a fun and scenic route to take. There are a lot of places to go within 1 hr of Santa Fe.
