OK to drive with Coolant Flush in system longer than recommended?
To all you Toyota cooling system experts out there:
I am in the process of doing the cooling system flush and the directions say to leave the flush in for around 3 days and do some driving to run it through the system. It has been five days and I was planning on finishing the flush today but now I need to use the truck to take my girlfriend and her baggage to the airport. I don't think I have time to finish the flush and replace the thermostat before hand. It will be about a 3 hour drive round trip with no big hills so the engine shouldn't be working too hard. It has been probably about 3 years since the coolant was changed though. Should I go for it or do the work before hand?
