My new project....front end swap
#1
Well here is my new donor truck. As far as I know no one has ever swapped the grills of an early 2nd gen to a later model. Well as a result of a fender bender I decided to do the swap. As I quickly found out it was more labor intensive than I imagined. As a result ive decided to swap the whole front end, right down to the sub frame. I'll show my progress as I go and hopefully yall can offer input. Btw can someone tell me how to better post my pictures? Maybe in the body of the post?

Ok now I got it.
here is my truck mostly stripped
As you can see I had to drill out every spot weld...not very fun
This is my weapon of choice, cobalt bits make life easier
These parts are off the 94'....quite a face lift
Drilling that dang sub frame
Finally got it off
More progress to come...BTW I am calling this "Operation Face-lift"

why..?? not saying bad/dumb idea or whatever, go for it. cool cool... but why?? i just, don't get the point...
If i was going through all that, i'd custom make my own grill, cost more, but it'd be B.A. Then if i was gonna cut all that, i'd just cut it all up, and do tube frame from firewall to bumper(to support fenders/grill).
