Can't Find Steering Leak

This is my first post, although I've read many threads on this subject. My '94 4Runner has a power steering leak that is driving me nuts. I have replaced the pump and cleaned the underside twice to search for the leak. The steering gear and the hoses to it look clean and dry. I can only drive about 150 highway miles and the system is dry. There is a leak somewhere but can't see the evidence. On my 4Runner the H/P hose goes from the pump to the rear brake actuator---Actuator is dry, but could there be any comunication with the brake fluid?

there should be some sort of evidence of the leaking fluid somewhere. i used to have the fsm on my puter but had some issues, i think mudhippy posted a link to it in one of his recent posts.

someone might post the direct link to the p/s system for you before too long.
good luck and let us know what it was.

Does any fluid run though the knuckle? Was crawlin round under there today and there was some fluid on the knuckle, but couldn't figure whether it was from my leakin timin cover, my leakin master, or if it was actually from the unfound leak in my ps system. Yeah, yeah I know, but before you say anything, the gas and coolant aint leak, so you gotta give me SOME credit there... Though my rear diff is leakin too...

Cheked fluid this AM after cleaning yesterday. Found fluid on top of reservoir and on cap. I know I didn't spill any---Is it possible that much could be leaking past cap?

Found It! VSV Switch on P/S Pump was leaking allowing the fluid to seep thru the vacuum line into the intake where it burned off---thus no evidence of a leak. Called NAPA, CQ and even AutoZone and they can't find part. Toyota dealer wants $103.55 + tax. Does anybody here know where I can buy this switch w/o breaking the bank! (maybe a NAPA or CQ #)---otherwise it may just get plugged. Thanks
