nedd to replace zerk fitting

02 4runner. on the zerk fitting on the front drive shaft (not u-joint) i think i may need to replace that zerk fitting. I noticed just a little grease leaks out and stays right where the silver ball is. Do i need to get a certain zerk with correct thread?

thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you can pump grease in to the bearings, what does it hurt that a little dab leaks back out? It leaks out all around the bearings too. But yes, there are different thread sizes (metric and standard) for zerks just like bolts.

I agree. As long as you don't loose all your grease as it spins at higher speeds - that is it only allows a little to flow back. Also - don't overfill the driveshaft grease points. You limit the ability for the driveshaft to compress if you do that and that could mean broken parts.
