Good Price for a 4.88 LSD Third.

Hey everybody...I'm looking for some help in pricing out a used third with 4.88's and a LSD. This is a Toyota Factory original part and coming from a very reputable seller. I'm just concerned with the price. They are askng

$455

After shipping. Is this too high? The vehicle it came from has less than 130K miles on it. My intentions are to replace mine which is a stock 4.10. I currently have 33x12.50x15's....so this should be a great upgrade and bring me back to a closer to stock gearing....plus the LSD would be a plus. Not a true locker but something in the right direction.

Any input? Price sounds good? Too High? Should I jump on this? Thanks for any inout!

Too add some detail...

This is for the rear third

V6

All Toyota Factory Equipment so I can not say what gears or anything other than "Toyota factory". Same goes for the LSD - Limited Slip Differential. All parts are factory.

Thanks for the quick responses so far!

BEWARE!
- Factory LSD wasn't available in the USA.
- The 4.88's were only in V6 automatics with 31's, which would be a rare combo outside the USA.

If it's a reputable seller, I would ask for A LOT more info.

A rear third w/ new LS & new gears (+core on the chunk) will run you about $1200 - that's all new stuff.

There's all kinds of deals to be had out there from peeps going to a SAS.

I just got a complete Front w/ stubs, a Truetrack & 4.88s for $100, $145 to my door.

Thanks everyone...it sounds like the $455 is pretty high when all things are considered. I guess patience will be my best friend on this purchase. For those that have PM'd me about your thirds....cool. I am responding back to all of them.

Thanks
