So what did they say? Basically, it's a heat issue, right? I think that's why my new 4.0 V6 is missing the insulation at the hood.

No, it was a description of the head issues and what years, how to address it with the dealer, etc. Nothing groundbreaking, just good info for newbs.

I personally feel it was caused more by a lot of folks replacing HG's only and not checking the block/heads for warpage. That, plus aluminum head on a steel block makes for all kinds of expansion issues.
