quiet muffler for 22r?

Looking to open up the truck some in the attepmt for a bit more power. I have a downey header but i want to throw it and a cat back at the same time. Im looking for a muffler thats quiet and i mean close to stock. I have a stock muffler on there now and its new so there is not a bunch of noise from it. I like how quiet it is but the powers hurt by it i feel. I hear all kinds of people tell me to add something aftermarket,The only thing is i cant stand loud cars. My webber with out all the stock box makes me feel like im racing around in a riced out honda all the time. I may slap my camden set up on soon so a free flowing header back will be a nice add on to that.

Any ideas?Sound clips?

Thanks

in my experience, the header gets you most of the advantage. if your muffler is new, i would use it. if you decide you want to go the full catback, then bump the pipe up to 2.25 inches. for a new muffler, find the largest one that will fit. i used dynomax superturbo. sound is fairly quiet compared to a magnaflow that i tried previously. your new setup will be louder than stock even with only the header.

don't get a cherry bomb style muffler. they sound grt on big block v8s but in my opinion not the best on 4cyl motors. maybe it was stupid of me to get one but i jsut wanted a cheap cheap muffler. i asked for the longest quietest one. it cost me $40 and its normal/quiet below 3k then sounds like a fart above that. but on the fwy in 5th you can't even hear it. so as long as you're in lower rpms or on the highway its fine. just my experience.

My cheap Raptor muffler from summit is semi loud. It going to get louder the older it gets. But, it was only $20 so I can live with it the 1 day a week I drive the truck

thats what im thinking. I know a guy who had just bugger pipe and a cheap muffler thrown on and it was soooo loud it gave me a headache driving next to him over my tires! I think im going to do the header and either a testpipe or hallow the cat and call it good for now. That will be loud enough but i hope only when i rip on it. My neighbors are all old and whine about my tires already. You know its bad when i let my bimmer run (thats all stock right now) and they bitch.
