Nearly new '88 4x4 (warning to dial-up viewers!)

A few weeks ago I mentioned my painter friend bought his brother's '88 pickup with less than 8,000 original miles! (Yes - EIGHT THOUSAND, not EIGHTY or EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND). I finally got some pictures to show what a nearly new '88 looks like today.

As an aside, his brother got a brand new Tacoma 4x4, but wants his old truck back.

The odometer!

Under the hood

Stepping back

Shiny hood!

Moving around to the side

A peek inside at a nearly new interior - never been reupholstered!

And around to the back

My truck looks so sad by comparison

He drove it a little before I got a chance to take pictures.

BTW, I think he paid his brother $7K for the truck, including a Bentley manual and a few spare parts

I don't think he added fuel stabilizer or anything - just stuck the key in and drove it. His brother drove the truck regularly, just not very far. Like maybe 2 or 3 miles to work a few times a week for the past 19 years.

I bought my truck new (under $5900), but didn't baby it quite as much (can you tell?)

I don't think he's planning to part out the truck. Sorry!

Sweeeet....

If Barrett/Jackson fiddled with Toyotas, that would be a Prime candidate.

whats with the doll head in the interior?
its obviously the doll head mod for the Transfer case shifter. If it's ever removed,it will automatically release it's ninth-dimensional power source and destroy what science calls "the universe"
