Pics of front wheel bearing/spindle assm

Does anyone have any pics of an assembled, partially dissassembled, or fully disassembled front wheel bearing/hub/spindle assembly. Apparently the bearing is a press onto the spindle, and I'm tryin to get a feel for how everything is laid out. (I havent crawled under there and looked yet).

I have a front end vibration that is either a wheel bearing or a bad u-joint/u-joint that needs grease. It is speed specific and is most noticable at certain speeds (40ish and 65ish) which to me seems driveline like, but it feels like a wheel bearing. There is also a slight noise with the vibration, but nothing to write home about (I'm the only one that can hear it). I'm going to crawl under it, give everything I can find a good lubin, check play in the wheels and see how it goes. I'd welcome any comments.

Here's one:

I know that the front wheel bearings are sealed. This means you need to buy a new bearing and have it pressed in. You cannot re-lube it!

As for the rears, I think you are able to re-lube them. But, dont quote me on that.

Have you tried lubing the driveshaft? That seems to be a common problem.

I hear you on odd noises, it really gets under my skin too. I am ALWAYS the only one in the car to hear it. I turn down the music, open my windows, and stick my head out while going over bumps at various speeds. People look at me like Im looney.

Ya I knew they were a sealed, and a pressed type... Fun Fun. The driveshaft and anything else that has a zerk is getting the attention first, then I'm going to play it from there.

Also, am I looking at that pic right that the upper BJ is held in by the snap ring, or is a press fit holding it in?

EDIT: also if the rears are anything like a 1st or 2nd gen 4Runner they are a sealed, pressed type as well.

The upper ball joint is held in by a castle nut and pressed in there nice and well. There is also a snap ring of somesort below the boot. I needed a special tool to get it out. I used a gear puller and a tool from Total Chaos to pull them apart. :/

Well I got around to greasing both driveshafts... But didnt get to pulling a wheel and checking play. Drove it this morning and still have a vibe.... I guess the next step is pulling a wheel.

Well just jack up the front, and strattle that wheel. Push/pull it and see if it has excessive play first !!

Dude, I dont know. It might be something in your suspension? Seems like people having wheel bearing issues/ball joint issues are pretty slim around here.

It does seem uncommon for the wheel bearings to go given the lack of comments on the forum. As soon as I get a wheel off and do some diggin around, I'll post if I find anything.
