Wtb: trail rig(4runner or pickup)
I recently lost my other trail rig to an idiot that can't drive in a parking lot!
Now I need a new one and toyota is the way I want to go. I am looking for an 85 or older 4runner or truck and Im looking to spend less than $4000. If you know where one is or have one yourself that you would like to sell just give me a holler. I am located in Athens ,Ga 706-713-1280 Miles

What do you mean by that?
For a 4runner '85 is the way to go. Only year they made a fuel injected solid front axle. Depends on the kind of work you are willing to put into it. you can get an 86-89 but you'd have to SAS if you wanted the axle. 88-89 had the 3.slow, which, all joking aside, is a pretty good engine. Only problem is that you have to be willing to throw down some good cash for these rigs because most people who have the 85 know what they have is rare, and the people with 84, 86-89 know that they have a desired body style.
I paid 1500 for my 85 4runner auto and it just had 800 dollars worth of brake work done and I am going to be replacing the radiator this week. I was willing to pay for the rig, no matter the condition, because I fell in love with these runners and wanted the 85 for its trail prowess.

ok, the guy who bought my 85 truck(padre was original owner) is selling it for 2750 in texas, no rust on this bad boy.
