Where do you live at? I know there is a guy in greenville, NC with a 350 in a 2nd gen 4runner like mine. I have seen him around a couple times and talked to him more then once. His 4runner is a BEAST!!! It's soo cool to see a 4runner have that much power and make that sound runnin down the road.

There was a post with a link in your previous thread to an 85 with an LS1 in it. Try a search, I've seen some others on here to.

Heres a couple pics of my runner, the hardest part i had with the install is that i had to have the tranny modded to fit the yota transfer case. i also had to install an electric fan and upgrade the suspension to handle the weight. i also put in coil springs in the back. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/photop...xs1l8OoORtVVSq

I was looking at a nice clean swap just yesterday. It did require a body lift but the headers and everything fit.

I ended up ordering a body lift yesterday. I didnt want to use one but that seems like the only way a th400 is going to fit without cutting a huge hole in the floor.

Unfortunately I think you are correct. I think a two inch lift can do it.

I went ahead and got the 3. I figure it is easier to cut some off than it is to add a little on.

look at my post in sas I have a 350 in my 92 ex-cab a 2in body lift is the best to fit a V8 in. All though I moved the motor back 6in to help move the weight back word so made a all new firewall. The 350 will fit in without major mods to firewall. I help a couple of friends with there conversions. (me mostly doing all the work)

There's this nice 2nd gen truck I always see driving around where I live with a chevrolet emblem on the grill. I've never seen him while he was stopped, and had the chance to talk to him though.

I ahve thought about using an earlier Toyota 5 speed, one that you can get an advance adapters bellhousing for, then fab up mounts and drop a small block into my 97 4 Runner

but have too many projects to finish right now,,,
