Okay guys, who is running aftermarket, or custom, lift shackles on thier 95-04 Taco? I need some help...so Post up guys!!

 

you can get em from cornfed or 4crawler

 

my shackles are longer than stock, but i went the cheap-free route by using some 1/4" steel bars and drilling holes in the end. 4 bars = 2 shackles and cheap. wee!

 

Which is exactly what I want to do, I just need some measurements. lol.
Help me out here guys... Im moving soon, and my roommate currently - is a machinist - and I'd like to use him up before I move. lol. Hook me up with how long your shackles are, and how much lift you got. And not just David either, all of you guys. I know you guys have them!!

 

Shackles will lift your truck by about 1/2 the amount they are extended. So if your stock shackles are 4" long and you want 1" of lift make new shackles 2" longer than the 4" stockers = 6". Or do like I did and buy some cornfeds. They are really nice for the price.

If your gonna make some, I'd make two sets. One for what your wanting in lift right now, and one set about 2" longer than you think you would ever want. Leave the second set undrilled on one end so you could cut to fit in the future.

I have some ToyTec 2 inch shackles on my 2004. From the top hole to the bottom hole the distance is 7.25 inches.
