just what it says.i just took a a$$ whippin from an exh manifold.some clown evidently ran up the down pipe to man. nuts with an impact.got em all but one loose when pulling engine-see littlerunner is down-tried to snake my 40 yr old but into engine compartment with air chisel to get at last rounded nut.only made nut worse.ended up taking it loose at convertor-believe it or not those bolts came out no problem.removed man. & pipe thru engine compartment.put in vise.2 hits with air chisel & was able to get off.old man 1,manifold 0.rethreaded studs,ready to go back now.

yeah, pretty hard to follow context of story, but got the idea, you got owned by it sounds like a normal day of working on a car for me in the rust-belt

 

I have another thread in here right now about HG rebuild; I used a torque wrench to break those effers loose! Not even my air wrench at 130 psi would break it loose...

 

edit,still delerious from fight.really it was'nt rusty just way to tight.have pics of freshly cleaned heads & block on other post
