The best brake setup that i have used is Brembo blanks and Performance Friction pads from Auto Zone.
Before this setup I used Brembo crossed drilled rotors and Performance Friction pads. The only difference I noticed between cross drilled and blanks was my wallet!
I felt NO difference when braking!

They do wear quicker then most but they are life time replacement as long as you dont wear them down to the metal. I race my Tacoma ALOT, so I replace my pads every 8-12 months. PF pads have worked GREAT for me!!!!

Dust is not to bad, I spray brake cleaner about once every 4 months. I also spray water in them everytime I clean my truck too.
