Has anyone tried LC wheels on a 3rd gen? ;)
(New pics of finished wheels and tires in first post)
ok, so here's the 100th thread of "Look what I got in the mail, LC wheels"
I ordered them from Norb's Auto Salvage, Denmark, WI; (there were none more at this time either). I found them through www.car-parts.com, which only listed 3, but calling them guy there said 4, then next day when ordering he said 5...
anyway, I ordered all 5 on thursday, and they were at my door after work the following friday, fastest shipping I've ever seen (fyi was thru fed-ex). I got all 5 wheels (and 2 caps) for $200 shipped!!
I'll be powdercoating them and getting them up pretty soon, hopefully to match the ones in this thread >>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/lc-wheels-back-powdercoater-pics-108263/
and, pics of progress so far:

Unpackaged from miles of bubble wrap, shrink-wrap, and tape, in back to go get blasted

all sandblasted, with #320 Al-Oxide, a huge walk in BlastWorks set-up makes the job easier, but this was still a lot more work than I had thought it ever was

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 8:30 PM Eastern, "the" Standard, Time : added pics and what not woohoo

getting closer!!! tire guy at small shop said everyone who came in said "wow
those look nice, what on earth are they going on?"
they looked HUGE sitting in the shop like that... honestly, looked like 35+ when I saw them, I was worried at first

one on

another on ... getting closer

hooray... time to test

all I can say is WOW!!! ok, so only 10 miles today on them so far, but they are very quiet (so far) on the road 15-65ish mph, very noticeable bumps when rolling
and alignment and balance even feels much better than with last.. but still need to go in for alignment check I suppose

went through a very wet area (not a wetland... no flamage!) but this is MI, we've had a few feet of snow, it all just melted, and it was raining a bit all today, once I started into the open area, I was sinking a good 6-8 inches, and if I slowed, woulda just sunk... had to just gun it, throwing a nice bit of mud all the way through... NEVER woulda made it with lesser tires... especially my last ones, but then again, I never woulda got that far
these things emptied my wallet, just at the gas station I lost a quarter...
well, just about

I've painted the wheels on my last truck with Dupli-color the same color, and have wanted darker wheels for a while, these should come out pretty good

score! pics should be up by next week sometime, $200 must be the lucky number cuz thats the cost for 5 rims pc'd in "Black Chrome" with a clear-coat, and lucky for me, they just did a bunch of stuff for a business in the same color and they have at least 20 lbs of powder left. Between now and them done I just need to decide on new Cooper STT's, Pro-Comp XTerrains, Pro-Comp Mud, or keep my mostly new Yokohama Geolanders for a while more.

lol, I'm in the mood of updating all my threads, but no new pics.. srry
I got the wheels back today, look great except for a lot of blemishes on 3/5 wheels in the inside/back of the wheels due to gassing/extreme pitted surface?? oh well, you can't see that part when on anyway. No pics because I dropped them off at the tire shop so they will be ready with new rubber tomorrow when I get out of work

thanks all... the bumpers... maybe later... but I would rather sell them as is, stock, and get front and rear made, before painting them....
the color, is AWESOME... I love it, similar enough to match Rust-Oleum hammered metallic gray that is on my sliders and tire carrier
