I finally got my 4runner on the road today and was up on the highway in 4HI because it was snowing awfully bad around here. And I was a little disturbed to find out the driveshaft makes an awful puttering noise when I drive over 20 MPH. The entire 20 mile trip I had to listen to this loud aggravating puttering noise coming from the driveshaft. What could this be? What should I be looking for or trying?

Which DS? Did you try checking for play in the U joints?
