Sunday March 11th I am planning on making the Crown King run. If anybody is headed that way or wants to go lets meet up for the full days ride. I am taking my stock 88 4runner(31's) and my wife's FJ. We have made the run only twice in four years and loved it both times. We just went up in November to try out the FJ. I live out in Buckeye and will be taking 99th ave up. Let me know so we can meet up.

 

Sounds interesting. I live in El Mirage. And you say your in buckeye, im out there everyday for work, at the end of miller road. the last turn before the pond/lake w/e you want to call it. I go the the Rinker plant down that road to get samples of aggregate.

About this run, what time, location, overnight?

 

I'd be down too! I have a stock 89 4Runner with 31's also. I live in Chandler.

There are a few other local guys on here that are looking for a CK run that I'm sure will chime in and wanna join us.

 

I live off Miller and Baseline. I've never been down that far before. Is it past the Fire depo.

We can meet at Bell and 99th ave if anyone is interested. It will only be for the day. It is usually dark by the time we get back out to I-17. I'm in the Air Force and I've got family coming to visit and wanted to take them out on the trail. They have never been out like this before, well in the desert anyways.

Anytime you local PHX guys want to go out let me know. I usually go out Watson Rd and mess around. Haven't been to the east side yet.

 

I've actually never done CK before. I've camped at Bloody basin and Camp Creek a bunch of times, but never went over to CK.

There are some awesome trails over here on the east side - Florance has some sweet trails. There are a bunch of Trail Report threads about Box Canyon. I love it over there.

 

Yeah, its about another mile south of the FD. So if you see me drive by in a Rinker chevy p/u longbed between 7-9 am mon-fri its most likely me lol

 

I'm in. CK is a good run, long day but good. It is about the same difficulty as box canyon. The best part is hanging out in CK after a day wheeling.

 

im interested in going. if i stay here in town this weekend ill try and make it out. sounds like fun. never done that trail too.
