96 Tacoma Cab Swap

About 4 months ago my 1996 Ex Cab Tacoma was totalled. Long Story Short I have most of it left including the Cab that is in perfect condition. I just recently came across a rolled/totalled 96 Regular Cab Tacoma that I can buy for $1200. I was wanting to know if it's possible to put my Ex Cab body on the Regular Cab Frame and turn it into a flat bed. I realize I'll most likely have to move the rear two body mounts, but other than that, does anyone know if this is a nightmare of a project? Or is it something that can be figured out by someone that somewhat mechanical? I've done a dozen or so engines and full Interiors but never touched a cab. Any help or advice would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

You pretty much answered it already. You will have to move body mounts around. Plus, the reg cab frame is shorter, thus you will have to either fab a short flatbed, or modify your bed to fit.

Also, since the donor has been rolled, you would be wise to take some measurements to be sure that the frame has not been bent. That would be a lot of work to do, and then discover that it doesn't drive well!
