Needing some parts / ASAP

My son went to start his 1990 4 runner today and the extremely cold temps
caused the engine cooling fan to EXPLODE.

We need the cooling fan and clutch assembly, radiator fan shroud and the
AFM air box.

This is the 3.0L engine with an automatic ( if that makes a difference )

Anybody know anybody parting out a runner ?

Shipping would be to 64730 Butler, MO

Hey DOC, I have some parts on order from EBAY and have seen most of what your looking for listed there. I found the fan bracket (dealer 700.00) for less than 25.00 new in the box with shipping accross the US.

I would venture a guess that your fan must have been cracked, before hand. I see temperatures lower than you'll ever see in MO on a pretty regular basis, and I've never had a problem with it.

The cold may have just exacerbated an already existing problem.

Exacerbated ? New word for me but looks like a damn good un !

Actually, we have found all the parts necessary in Fort Smith, Arkanasas.
AND I am flying into Fayetteville, AR on Sunday - Fayetteville is 45 minutes
from Fort Smith. My Monday afternoon appointment cancelled this afternoon - so I can drive down to Fort Smith and get the parts and then drive 4 hours North to Butler, MO - Sunday night

Monday we can fix the 4 runner and I can love my grandbaby a liitle and then drive to Mountain Home, Arkansas for my Tuesday appointment. I fly back to Knoxville on Wednesday - I'd say this will work out nicely !!!!

My son has my beloved 1990 4 runner as his now - and loves it !

Fortuneately, my job has me travelling through there on a regular basis and the company doesn't mind as there is no hotel charge for that day !

The guy in Fort Smith only wants $50.00 for all the parts we need.

I'm sure that the fan had a crack - the runner has 270,000 miles on it but the engine only has 40,000 - the fan is one of those pieces that gets swapped from the old motor to the new one. It had a good life !!!

Thanks everybody ! This place is amazing - once again !

My son is noahsdaddystruck on here
