Sorry for the 2wd question but does anyone know if Toyota made a longbed version of the 2wd Tacoma?

No - there was no optional / different bed length available in the 1995.5 - 2004 Tacomas.

If I'm not mistaken, though, there *was* a long bed option in the previous (1989 - 1995) generation, which was discontinued around 1993 or 1994.
