what years for 8" rear end

can someone please help me out here if i remember correctly the 8 rear was used from 88-2004? got a good lead on a trd limited from a 04 tacoma and want to make sure before buying it it will work in my 90 rear end instead of lockrite or other lunch box locker. bad idea or not please speak up

86+ trucks/4runners to 02. Tacomas use an 8.4" rearend.

so is the non e-locked 96-02 or e-locked the same?

for 4runners it is (well till 00 since there wasnt any elocked 01-02 runners). TRD tacoma's came with the same one..8". the non trd tacomas came with the 8.4"

this is the early taco were referring to. 95.5-04

no i mean teh yota 8" that fits all of the housings. is it the locked style or the non locked 4runner style

Ok fella thanks for all the info just got a conformation for the guy im buying this from that it is an 8" and that he went to a trd e locker so this thing has only 9000 miles on it hope its worth 250 shipped i figure it is since a lockrite is about the same and this is toyota so cant go wrong right???
