$$What have you paid for seats for a G1?$$

Toyota recalled the rear seats from my 87... they said a very small number were affected but.... here I am "seat-less". When I go searching... what should I expect to have to pay for some rear seats... and if its a package.. all seats... SR5...

I got my rear seat for 100.0 IIRC. I got it from car-parts.com They basically check all the salvage yards in the nation. I was able to find the colro I wanted, the guy even sent meat the seatbelts for free, even though I didn't end up using them.

Nice, that's just what I'd want to pay, maximum.. then perhaps another $100 for the front seats...

no offense but I would not have let them take my seats with out a replacement...I would go back to the dealer and get them to replace them

well... they did compensate me... ;-)
so, I guess a new back seat will cost me in the neighborhood of 100 if the price is right... unless I can find one for free...

I am also VERY interested in the recal, my rear seats no longer stay attached and swing up when wheeling.

I've never heard of this, and we've had my 87 4runner for 20 years. You would think that we would have been told 10 yrs or less ago.....I don't think this was really a recall

It was a recall for a very small number of 87 4Runners. These 4Runners had some defect in the seats that caused them to basically fall out in a wreck or rollover. Toyota does not produce the seats anymore so they compensate well but cannot replace them. I'm pretty sure if you need the recall Toyota will call YOU.

Try calling Toyota and see if you're on the list.

How exactly did they compensate for you?
