Hi All,

My 2003 Tacoma is both a work/play truck. Last weekend I loaded it up with brick and concrete rubble to take to the dump. I'd like to have it at max load, to minimize the cost and number of trips, but I don't want to hurt my new toy!

I was wondering if anyone know approximately how much rear suspension travel remains when you load 1500 lbs in the bed. I don't really have convenient way to weigh the truck or the load.

FWIW, I have the TRD off-road package.

Any WAGs are appreciated.

On my 98 Tacoma Limited TRD, I dropped about 1700lbs of mortar sand in the back one time. Lets just say I had about 1/2" of rear travel. I think I overloaded it

You should be fine with 1500lbs. Follow your payload rating and tire pressures. Leaf spring set-ups are pretty strong, and difficult to break.
