Hey i have an 86 SR5 turbo, Well, the last owner had swapped in a 22re, anyways, i went to get an exhaust leak fixed an i noticed that there was an o2 sensor under the truck after the cat with wire attached, but it was not plugged in anywhere. My question is, does the turbo model have the 02 sensor up in the engine bay area behind the turbo, with the plug somewhere in the engine bay?? Or is under the truck past the cat and plugs somewhere on the tranny harness? I'm getting really bad gas mileage and i cant seem to find where to plug this bugger into. Thanks!

 

On my truck (88, 22re) the O2 sensor wire goes through a hole in the floor just below the drivers seat, and the plug is under the carpet under the seat.
If you buy an OEM type sensor, the wire comes with a new big grommet, etc..
