hg issue? what years have the problem

, if i were to purchase a v6 whatyears have had the head gasket problem and what v6 is it

the V6 in question is the 3.0L V6. Pretty much all the years have the issue (AFIK). If you can avoid the 3.0, do it. It's a dog(I've owned 2). I'm kinda waiting patiently for my next head gasket so I can drop in a 3.4 from a taco.

The 3VZE engine, 3.0L single-overhead cam V6. 1988 - 1995 trucks and 4runners, including some of the T100s. I personally like the body style of the 1995 4runner, but I wish I had a 3.4 (or better yet the 4.0).
