I just bought a very worn out 1988 regular cab truck from a friend and I have no idea how to tell what motor it has, transmission thats in it or even what model it is. Friend knows very little about the truck and I'm new to Toyotas. It has a 5 speed transmission and a 4 cylinder engine. Any help??

 

well welcome, its called a 22, if its carbed its called 22r, iif its fuel injected its called a 22re the trans i think is a g 54??? i think, you will find a vast amount of knowledge on this site
